The Lemonade Stand Stories Podcast
If you were not aware, Lemonade Stand has a pretty awesome podcast! If you’re at all interested in hearing really cool and inspiring stories about people from all over (usually focused on businesses and how to grow from nothing), then you’ll definitely want to check it out. It’s called Lemonade Stand Stories, and you can access it right here or through any of your favorite podcast apps.
I am going to break down a little bit of how the podcast came to be, what we actually do/talk about on the podcast and some of the guests that we have had, as well as why we are creating this podcast and what we hope to accomplish with it.
How “Lemonade Stand Stories” Came to be
So how did our podcast start? Well, as with most things in life, it seemed to be a bunch of coincidences happening all together that led to this.
Charan Prabhakar, the host of Lemonade Stand Stories, had been hosting and promoting this podcast on his own for quite some time. He started it all up and really wanted to see it move forward. Well, one of the guests that he had on his podcast was our own founder, Greg Trimble. Greg thought that Charan really had something going with this podcast idea, and he wanted to help Charan to spread this podcast to more and more people. The idea and vision of the podcast (I’ll get into that in a minute) really spoke to Greg, and he wanted this to reach as many people as possible.
That being said, he and Charan started talking about how they could make that happen. Eventually, they decided to transition the podcast to being produced, supported, and distributed by Lemonade Stand. We now aid Charan with some of the details on the production side of the podcast, and he is still, to this day, the host of that podcast where he is able to bring on tons of amazing people and share their stories with anyone who will listen.
The nitty gritty details of something like this is always going to be more complicated than it appears, and it definitely wasn’t quite this simple.. But that’s the general idea of how our podcast came to be.
Pretty cool stuff!
What is “Lemonade Stand Stories” all About?
So what do the people on our podcast even talk about? Trading recipes or favorite flavors of lemonade? While this might be a great idea, and I’m sure we could come up with some incredible new flavors for lemonade, that’s not exactly the theme that we generally try to stick with.
The podcast is all about hearing other people’s “Lemonade Stand Stories.” How did they get from point A to point B? Anyone who starts a company knows that they will be starting it as if it were like the lemonade stand that they had when they were a kid. We all start small and humble. Not everyone stays as small as a lemonade stand, though.
So how did they do it? How were they able to go from being an idea, to a lemonade stand, to a successful and booming company?
Another aspect of our guests’ journeys that we like to look at is all of the ways that they were able to turn lemons into lemonade along the way. Life throws lemons at all of us. How do we take those lemons and not just throw them away but turn them into something much better than they originally were? We LOVE to hear how people have been able to do this, and we have heard some incredible stories from our guests about the trials and hardships that they have been faced with and how they have overcome them both from the perspective of their companies as well as from a more personal perspective as they have reflected on trials in their personal lives or lives of their family members, etc.
The “lemons into lemonade” portion of the podcast is always one of my personal favorites. People are so inspiring!
Now, of course, from time to time we get talking to people about other things than what I’ve just mentioned here, but, generally, this is what we try to cover with people, and it gets really, really cool.
Why are we Building This?
Why do we want to continue to build the Lemonade Stand Stories podcast? Oh, boy. This is where I could go on and on about what we are trying to accomplish with this and why we want to put so much effort into making it such a great and entertaining podcast. I’ll try to be brief here.
Our main purpose behind this podcast aligns perfectly with our main purpose behind everything that we do – a little thing that we like to call Build Then Bless. If you haven’t heard about this program, I invite you to read a little bit about it and our mission with it here. This is what we live for.
Essentially the mission behind Build Then Bless is to look outwards and always be focusing our efforts on serving the people around us in any way possible. Usually that means finding ways to bless people’s lives through small, daily interactions with anyone we come into contact with.
The podcast, however, helps us with this goal in a completely different way as we are able to reach people potentially all around the world. We want to hear from all different kinds of people in all different walks of life. We want to learn from them as they have been faced with many hardships and hear how they have been able to work through those struggles and come out on top. The reason for this is because we hope that it will inspire as many people as possible to push through the “lemons” of life until they can turn them into sweet, sweet lemonade.
We also want people to listen to these stories to be pushed to do things that they maybe didn’t think they could do before. The stories on our podcast serve as proof that anyone and everyone, regardless of circumstances, can have the success in life that they want to have. We want people to know this by listening to other people with whom they can relate who have already done it! People amaze us. The people we have been able to meet with have blown us away with their stories. We want everyone to be able to hear about them and learn from them and be inspired by them.
Hopefully our podcast can inspire you in one way or another, or, if you know of anyone else in your life who needs some inspiration, please give them a gentle push in our direction. We love to help and lift others up.
Give the Lemonade Stand Stories podcast a listen and be inspired by those who have gone before you!
